Taking a scene from the Lake District as a theme Phil Biggs showed his mastery of watercolours during his latest demonstration at Writtle Art Group and we thank Phil for an entertaining and very informative morning.

Sue Spiers Workshop at Writtle Art Group
Sue Spiers returned to the Writtle Art Group on Monday 9th May 2022 for an enlightening watercolour demonstration featuring river barges at Maldon. In the past, Sue has demonstrated her talented style of painting in Acrylic and Pastels, but more recently has focussed on Watercolour, which is now her favoured medium of choice.
Sue gave an interesting and informative explanation of her painting style (usually en plein air – in all seasons). The subject of river barges at one of her favourite Essex river locations was from one of her own photos taken on a still February day.
We thank Sue for her entertaining session.
