Contacting Writtle Art Group

Writtle Art Group meets on a Monday morning in Writtle Village Hall. Members paint in a variety of media and throughout the year enjoy exhibitions, demonstrations, and tuition. If you are interested in joining please contact Lin Wells 01245 352082 or 07713016581.

Information

Writtle Art Group was formed in 1966 and is a well established group of keen and enthusiastic amateur artists. Meeting once a week in the Writtle Village Hall we aim to have fun and enjoyment and at the same time improve as artists. Exhibitions during the year allow us to show and sell our work and these well attended events contribute to the lively social events occurring throughout the year in the village.

The Leslie Bass Trophy

Presented to Writtle Art Group in 1976 by Leslie Bass, the trophy is awarded to the most popular painting of the annual Autumn Exhibition. Viewers vote for their favourite picture and the "winner" holds the trophy for one year.
