The demonstration at Writtle Art Group on the 11th of April allowed over 50 members observe one of the country's leading watercolorists paint a classical "William Newton scene". Our thanks goes to William for giving clear demonstrations of wet into wet and dry brush work, as well as reminding us of the benefits of leaving white paper and using a limited palette.
I started to paint on retirement and enjoy painting in a variety of styles. Although willing to have a go at most scenes or objects the classical East Anglian landscape scenes is my favourite. I am a member of the Writtle Art Group and The Griffin Art Group of Danbury and show at local exhibitions
