us the opportunity to practice working wet in wet, looking at how we can build
up texture and finally consider reflections in water.

Writtle Art Group Demonstration by Keith Morton
Keith works with Winsor acrylic paper, uses a stay-wet pallet, with a limited range of colours. His warm colours are Cadmium Yellow, Cadmium Red, Ultramarine and his cool colours are Lemon Yellow, Alizarin Crimson, Prussian Blue, and White applied with a 1cm flat brush.
Within the two-hour session Keith made it clear he would not finish the painting and explained he would normally take 2-3 days to complete a painting of this nature.
We thank Keith for his work with us.

Peter Pegg awarded the Bass Trophy for 2016
Presented to Writtle Art Group in 1976 by Leslie Bass, the trophy is awarded to the most popular painting of the annual Autumn Exhibition. Viewers vote for their favourite picture and the "winner" holds the trophy for one year.
This year's winner was Peter Pegg with "Moody Blue" - an atmospheric street scene - with Liang Hsiang Porter's "Winter Green" taking second place. To complete a very fulfilling exhibition Peter also took third place with "Purple Rain".
